Derby Update! August 2010
July brought another first for the Pueblo Derby Dollz: co-ed Roller Derby! The co-ed scrimmage took place in Fort Collins and word on the street is that Annie Ankle Biter really gave the guys a pummeling. Since this wasn't an official bout, but rather a scrimmage, the fact that the final score was not in the Dollz favor does not tarnish their undefeated (at press time) record. August is shaping up to be a busy month for the Pueblo Derby Devil Dollz. The Jailhouse Jawbreakers will travel August 7th to OD's Sports Crossing in Ft. Collins to battle the Choice City Rebels. Two weeks later, August 21st, both the Jawbreakers and the Renegade Rollers will have bouts at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. And, finally back at home, catch the Jawbreakers during the Colorado State Fair at the Event Center on August 27th, when they face Denver's Rocky Mountain Roller Girls. The Renegade Rollers will have bout that same day, facing the High City Derby Divas. Stay up to date with Colorado's fiercest roller dames at puebloderbydevildollz.com and on Facebook. |
Derby Update: July 2010
Pueblo's Derby Dollz are on a run! On May 23rd, the Pueblo Derby Devil Dollz' Jailhouse Jawbreakers routed the Tornado Alley Roller Girls, 202-119 in Oklahoma City. They then went on to beat the Lincoln, Nebraska Road Warriors 128 to 61 on June 12th, their second blow-out win in as many bouts. NewSpin: Closed Case, Cold Comfort
A couple of months ago I wrote about an investigation I'd done on a case in which Betty Joyce Kuykendall ran a stop sign, collided with a car, and that crash led to the death of the male driver in the other car. |
