Flavor of Pueblo

The 5th Annual Flavor of Pueblo Food & Wine Show will be presented Thursday, March 18^th at the Pueblo Convention Center. From 5-7:30pm, dozens of local restaurants and vendors will showcase their wares at the extravaganza, with proceeds benefiting the United Way of Pueblo County. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at door, and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce (719-542-1704), the Pueblo Convention Center (719 542-1100), and the United Way of Pueblo (719-583-4455). You must be 21 years old to attend, and the first 450 guests will receive a free goodie bag from the event's sponsors. Wine events

80/Twenty Wines will host a wine tasting at Restaurant 1521 on Sunday, February 21st, from 2-4 pm. The cost is $20 per person and includes wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres, tax and tip. Reserve through 80/Twenty Wines, not the restaurant. 719-543-WINE (9463) or 80twentywines.com

January 2010

Celebrating a year of good wine

80/Twenty Wines will host a wine dinner in January. Details (not confirmed at press time) are available at 80twentywines.com.

In addition, 80/Twenty Wines, Pueblo’s first dedicated wine store, will celebrate a year in business on Saturday, January 16^th, from 10am-7pm. There will be food and drink all day at the store, along with discounts, sales, and giveaways.

New Brewmaster at the Shamrock
Jason Buehler has taken over for Alan Stiles (who moved to Phantom Canyon in Colorado Springs) as brewmaster at the Shamrock Brewing Company.  Most recently of Rockyard Brewing in Castle Rock, Buehler gave up a career in sales to focus full time on his passion for brewing.
