October 2011

ear-candyIt's sweater weather! You can mosh out or stand in the corner listening to great local music in the comfort of your favorite hoodie, sweater, or vest. I've been attached to my hoodie for 15 years. I've tried to buy a new one after I sewed the sleeves of my trusty black garment so many times that the needle was making the holes larger, but I haven't found one that fits just so. When I catch a live show in my hoodie, it's like sharing the night with a good friend. You may not be as nostalgic as I am, but here are some places and people you might want to meet with your favorite climate control garb.

Ear Candy: Glum Jack Sasquatch Shakers Death

May 2011

EarCandy0511
Sometimes you find something that's not intended to be found. Yet, in the finding, you realize the inherent nature of the find. At the last music show for The Red Raven Studio under the current promoters, the lineup is befitting of the last supper - We Are Not a Glum Lot and The Jack Trades of Colorado Springs; Pueblo locals, The Sasquatch and The Assault Shakers (with Inaiah Lujan of The Haunted Windchimes); and headliners, O'Death of Brooklyn, New York.
