Zombies, zombies, and yes, more zombies

Walking to the Impossible Playhouse, I was unsure what to expect from the Players' production of Night of the Living Dead, based on the movie classic. Then I nearly collided with a zombie in a dress shirt and tie, ambling up the sidewalk towards me grunting, and all my doubts were extinguished in one fearful moan.

Cyrano at the Impossible Playhouse

Cyrano DeBergerac, a late nineteenth century play by Edmund Rostand, follows a poetic man with a large heart and a nose to match. It's a tragic romance that always enthralls me and I was excited to see the Impossible Players perform Frank Langella's compact version, directed by Paul Abeyta. The classic play is one of my favorites, something I never get tired of seeing, and my expectations for the production were high.

The Impossible Players kicked off their forty-fifth season of community theater with the John Patrick play, Roman Conquest. This hilarious story takes place in an intimate apartment in the city of Rome with two American girls in search of adventure and artistic inspiration.

On February 11th I had the privilege of enjoying Steel City Theatre Company's production of The Word is Love, at La Renaissance Restaurant. I love musical theater and food, so I was excited about this evening.
